You are invited to the Focus on the Masters Learning To See Outreach Art Showcase, from March 15 – April 24, 2017, with a special reception on March 29th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm for parents, students, and the general public. Come to this celebration of youthful expression, and see how art creates connections to cultures and histories from around the world. This exhibit features artwork created in the World History class of Mr. Andrew Vasquez at Green Middle School in Port Hueneme.

If you go to our local mountains in the spring, there are many interesting pictures that can be taken. The Santa Monica Mountains are green and flowers are in bloom. This blog has pictures of many of my favorite hikes that are less than fifty miles from the city of Oxnard. Two of my favorite hikes in the Santa Monica Mountains are to Mugu Peak on the Chumash Trail and Sandstone Peak.
