CalMatters Voter Guide. CalMatters is a nonprofit, nonpartisan state news organization dedicated to explaining how state government impacts our lives. The organization’s nonpartisan Voter Guide is easy to navigate, includes interactive tools, video explainers that break down state ballot propositions, explanations on  representative roles, identifies key races by district and lists key election dates. The CalMatters Voter Guide is fully available in both English and Español.

  • Explainers — Topics include the most important issues facing California from wildfires, gun control, high cost of living to the water crisis. CalMatters explainers provide the data-driven context needed to make sense of what’s confronting the Golden State. Check Water and Drought Tracker, Wildfires tracker, and Homelessness tracker.
  • CalMatters offers interactive "games" to help voters identify candidates and propositions aligned with their views. You can save, share, or print your results to assist when you vote.
