2015 Summer Reading June 1 - August 8
From June 1 through August 8, the library urges families to shake, rattle or roll to the library for Read to the Rhythm, a summer of fun and prizes. Earn prizes for every 5 hours that you read (or are read to) or do some of the challenges offered and enter into an end-of-summer grand prize drawing.
Check out all the fun filled activities--puppets, magic, animals, crafts, games, and more happening at Ventura County Library. Join us to kick-off Summer Reading 2015--Music with Craig Newton. Here is a list of kick-off shows.
Summer Reading 2015 at Ventura County Library reminds kids and teens that reading is for fun--as well as for learning.
So join us for a summer of reading, rhythm and a rockin' good time.
|There is a serious side to summer reading. Research has shown that children who don't read over the summer can lose up to 2 months of learning by the time they return to school in the fall.|
