J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye has been required reading in countless English courses for more than five decades. The classic novel is notable for its timeless depiction of teenage angst and vulnerability personified in the memorable character of Holden Caulfield.
The reclusive author died this week in New Hampshire at 91. Why not re-visit his works in our catalog, or check out his biography? Also, the feeds coming into our Book Reviews Plus page link to several articles about him (scroll to bottom of page.)
