If you use social media at all you have noticed an increase in interesting and informative posts by libraries. This is the week we highlight the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities. This year’s theme, Libraries = Strong Communities, illustrates how today’s libraries are at the heart of our cities, towns, schools and campuses, providing critical resources, programs and expertise. They also provide a public space where all community members, regardless of age, culture or income level, can come together to connect and learn.

At Ventura County Library we strive to enrich our community by offering programs, classes and events and book groups that appeal to all ages. We hope you will take time this week to explore some of the options available at a library near you. Our calendar is always full of fun and educational options for our customers.

Follow us on Instagram and this week you have a chance to win prizes playing our guess the book or character game.

Spend a little extra time at your library this week and celebrate with us.
