Hill Road - Book Club: My Brilliant Friend
Join us for a discussion of the first book in pseudonymous author Elena Ferrante's Neopolitan Quartet, My Brilliant Friend. This story about female friendship is set in a small Naples neighborhood after World War II.
Bustle writer E. Ce Miller writes, "Following Lila and Lenú from ages six to 16, My Brilliant Friend is both a universally relatable story of the myriad complexities of girlhood friendship as well as an investigation into how girls — especially girls born with two strikes against them already — grow into women."
Print copies will be available starting on June 26th for book club participants - just swing by the library to grab one. Electronic copies (eBook and eAudiobook) are also available on the cloudLibrary app. If you have a copy of this book at home, consider donating it to your local libary's book club!
All are welcome who have read the book - hope to see you there!
