Ojai Library Presents Evergreen Recorder Consort

Sunday July 10th at 1pm the Evergreen Recorder Consort will perform Summer Breezes and Peanut Butter, a diverse selection of music that celebrates the unique qualities of the recorder.
Demonstrating the different sizes and varieties of their intruments while playing music from the Baroque and Renaissance periods, 20th and 21st centuries the Evergreen Recorder Consort will delight and educate.
Systems upgrade = all online services interrupted
- Ventura County Library will be conducting a computer systems upgrade that will impact all online access and computer use at the Ventura County Libraries.
- Starting early June 21 through June 22, 2011, all online services will be unavailable.
- This includes the online catalog, express checkouts, wireless and database access. All public internet labs will be closed.
- Access to the Ventura County Library website, www.vencolibrary.org will not be interrupted, but the online catalog and databases will be unavailable.
- While online services will be interrupted, Ventura County Libraries will remain open and library staff will be available to assist during the downtime.
- The libraries impacted by this are: Avenue, Fillmore, E.P. Foster, Meiners Oaks, Oak Park, Oak View, Ojai, Piru, Ray D. Prueter, Saticoy, Simi Valley and Soliz-El Rio.
Ojai Library's First Sunday Music with Cindy Kalmenson and the Lucky Ducks
Award winning singer/songwriter Cindy Kalmenson will perform at the Ojai Library as part of the continuing First Sunday Music. Cindy and the Lucky Ducks (Ray Magee, Jim Landsman and Jim McCarthy) perform regularly at the Village Jester in Ojai. Come hear Cindy's orginal songs and some familiar favorites.
Ojai - Summer Reading Program Kick-off with the Nifty Balloon Show
Come see Dave and Shana from the Nifty Balloon Show, bend balloons, tell stories and perform magic tricks.

- Early literacy-based story time with lots of movement
- Best suited for children ages 0-5
- Story time takes place before library is open
- Will be on the grass by the library's front door or inside, depending on the weather
