Services

• Want to know how to get a library card and borrow a book? Find out here.
• Follow this link to learn how to access the library catalog from home.
• Library staff will answer your research questions.
• If a book you want is not available at your local library, it can be be ordered from other libraries.
• Telephone questions will be answered during open hours. Call (805) 521-1753.
• Three Internet computers are available for public use. Computers are filtered for use by customers under 18.
• Self-serve copy machines are available. Copies are ten cents each.
• An Apple computer with student educational software is available.
• Homework Centers are available in most Ventura County Libraries. Click here to see locations and times open.

Programs & Special Events

• Summer Reading Program Kickoff Party! For all ages! The Big, the Bad, the Beautiful and the Itty Bitty featuring Elaine Muray - dynamic storytelling - Wednesday, June 11 at 9 am and 10:30 am at Piru Elementary School.
• Piru Elementery School provides a student reading program where Junior and High School students read to Piru Elementery School students. For more information, contact the Library.
• Basic Internet assistance by a volunteer docent may be scheduled.

• Volunteers are needed for Adult Literacy Program. For more information click here.

Collections

• Three months of the Ventura County Star and Fillmore Herald newspapers are kept at the Piru Library.
• The Libary has magazines, books on tape and music CDs.
• There is a large collection of Spanish adult and children's books.
