Ojai Library Presents Taro Wayama and Thomas Foster

Sunday November 6thTaro Wayama returns to the Ojai Library with fellow guitarist Thomas Foster.

Thomas Foster is currently completing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the USC Thornton School of Music.  He has performed in guitar master classes and was one of four guitarists selected to perform for John Williams at the Merida, Mexico Guitar Festival.  Mr. Foster teaches guitar in Los Angeles and its environs.

Come early for a seat.  September Sunday Music at the Ojai Library with Taro Wayama was standing room only.

Ojai Library Presents: College Admission in the Age of Anxiety

Wednesday October 19, 7pm at the Ojai Library

Join experienced college counselor Judy Oberlander for a discussion on how to prepare for and navigate the world of college admission.  Judy believes searching for a college should be a quest for the school that is the right "fit", a college where a student will thrive and be challenged to meet his or her potential. 

This is an opportunity for parents to get help with the daunting college application process.

Ojai Library First Sunday presents Jesse Davis

Popular local guitarist, Jesse Davis, returns to the Ojai Library on Sunday, October 2, 1pm.

Jesse has studied under master guitarist Carlos Gonzales and is enrolled in the applied music program at Ventura College.  

Jesse is an accomplished performer who generously shares his talent so that people have a chance to hear great music in an informal, relaxed environment.

Soloist and chamber musician Taro Wayama has performed in Japan, Thailand, Canada and the US. He is the winner of numerous competitions.  Taro performs music from the Renaissance through the 20th century including folk and world music.  Join him for a concert that connects music from the East and West.

Ojai Library Presents Evergreen Recorder Consort

Sunday July 10th at 1pm the Evergreen Recorder Consort will perform Summer Breezes and Peanut Butter, a diverse selection of music that celebrates the unique qualities of the recorder. 

Demonstrating the different sizes and varieties of their intruments while playing music from the Baroque and Renaissance periods, 20th and 21st centuries the Evergreen Recorder Consort will delight and educate.

Ojai Library presents Cindy Kalmenson and the Lucky Ducks

Award winning singer/songwriter Cindy Kalmenson will perform with the Lucky Ducks at Ojai Library on Sunday June 5th at 1pm

The title track of Cindy's debut CD Let Me Out Here was featured in the HBO series BIG LOVE in 2006.  Her song I'm Not Leaving was nominated for song of the year and record of the year by the Los Angeles music awards. 

Kalmenson is a musician with a gift for storytelling and phrasing. Come to Ojai Library the first Sunday in June and enjoy the music!
